Nitrous Purge Kit

WON Street-Blaster systems that are rated up to 150 HP, are supplied with our UNIQUE nylon pipe which combined with our UNIQUE component designs, result in minimal generation of gaseous nitrous and maximum efficiency of nitrous use. As a consequence, there is little need to add a purge kit.

However, if you want the sharpest possible response when first activating the system, or if you want to show the world that you’re ready for some serious action, then adding our purge kit would do the job. It would also ensure that your engine receives liquid nitrous at maximum density the instant you fire the system, for optimum acceleration.

Should you be using a nitrous system with braided supply hose or you decide to purchase a WON system with braided hose, then it’s a whole different matter, as a purge kit becomes an essential part of the nitrous system, if you wish to achieve optimum performance.

 Fitting a purge kit enables the user to vent off (purge) the GASEOUS nitrous from the supply line, prior to activation of the main system, which ensures that LIQUID nitrous reaches the engine as quickly as possible and at maximum density.

A purge solenoid can also be used to empty the supply line of any residual nitrous oxide, when the system is not to be used for a period of time, to ensure no nitrous leaks past the solenoid seal in to the engine. Although a leak through a WON Pulsoid is extremely unlikely, it is guaranteed to occur when using any other brand of nitrous kit, especially if the solenoids are pulsed.

 Our purge kits use a high quality WON solenoid, to ensure there is no risk of system failure due to a purge solenoid failure.

 Parts included in this standard Purge set-up;

·        9" of 4mm SS tube for the purge outlet or nylon pipe if preferred.

·        1pr x Billet alloy Nitrous solenoid with CNC machined fittings and laser cut polished stainless-steel mounting plate.

·        1 x Close coupling stainless tube (2” long).

·        1 x Purge port connection for X-10.

·        2 x Retainer nuts and olives for lose coupling stainless tube.

·        1 x Push button switch.

·        1 x Relay.

·        1 x Electrical connectors & wire pack.

To ensure the purge system will connect to your existing hose and solenoid you’ll need to choose the correct fitting from the following options;

Option 1 – 1/8 BSPT (male) to 1/8 BSPT (male) will provide a direct connection between the nitrous solenoid and the purge solenoid. Awaiting link

Option 2 – 1/8 BSPT (male) to 1/8 BSPT (swivel female) will provide a more flexible direct connection between the nitrous solenoid and the purge solenoid. Awaiting link

Option 3 – 1/8 BSPT (male) to 5mm (female) for use with 5mm nylon line applications for remote mount purge use.  Click here for fitting
